Jeddah – President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omar Al Bashir and Saudi Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud discussed, here, ways to strengthen relations between the two countries.
State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Obeidallah Mohamed Obeidallah said, in a press statement after the meeting of Al Bashir and the Crown Prince, that the two sides stressed the need for security and stability in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Sudan.
Obeidallah said that the President briefed the Crown Prince on the security and economic situations in Sudan, where the two sides ensured on the need for full cooperation between the two countries in the said areas.
He said that the two sides also discussed the current developments in the Arab region, especially in Libya, Yemen, Syria, and Iraq and the importance of stability in these countries and in the Arab world in general.
The minister described the visit of President Al Bashir as very important.
Obeidallah said that the Crown Prince had confirmed his strong interest in the stability of the situation in Sudan and that Saudi Arabia is ready to support Sudan in all political, security and economic fields, stressing the depth of the relationship between the two brotherly peoples.
President Al Bashir praised the outstanding and continuing efforts from Saudi Arabia in the service of the Two Holy Mosques, the holy sites and pilgrims.
